BNU’s Newest Partner is a Registered Patent Agent In November of 2002, he started as an associate of then Bengzon & Negre. He has made major contributions to the firm’s growth in the field of IP litigation, patent work, trademark filing, and prosecution. Mr. Perez recently passed the Patent Agent Qualifying Examination (PAQE) given by the Intellectual Property Philippines, making him one of a handful of registered patent agents in the country. Another patent agent, Andres B. Quides, has been with the firm since January 2007. Mr. Perez successfully completed a prerequisite 3-month Chemistry course given by the Intellectual Property Training Institute and the Ateneo de Manila University prior to taking the PAQE.
